INGREDIENTS:

3 ½ cups of all purpose flour (plus extra for kneading the dough)

¼ teaspoon of baking powder

 ¼ teaspoon of baking soda

1/8 teaspoon of salt

3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

¼ cup of sugar (you can add less if you don’t eat much sugar or more if you wish)

½ tablespoon of dry instant yeast

1 cup of warm water (the temperature should be just perfect to bathe a baby almost lukewarm)

1 egg

PROCEDURES:
  1. 1   In a bowl combine your yeast, flour, sugar, baking powder and soda and salt and whisk lightly with a fork.

  2.      When you are done whisking add your egg and then your warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.

  3.      Mix this dough for about 2 minutes until it becomes less sticky then add some flour and continue to knead until it doesn't stick anymore.

  4.       Add your oil and knead until you have an elastic dough.

  5.       Place a dough in your bowl and cover with a clean dish towel. Allow the dough to rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  6.      When it has risen sprinkle flour on a clean surface and knead your dough until it is smooth and elastic.

  7.      Shape your dough into a loaf or dinner rolls whichever one you want and then place in a pan you have already oil and sprinkled with flour to prevent sticking.

  8.      Cover it again and allow to rise for another 1 hour. Meanwhile preheat your oven to 200 Celsius (you can even bake it in a large pot with sand or stones at the bottom if you don't have an oven). Brush your bread with some oil.

  9.      Place your bread in the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

  10.      Remove from the pan and allow to cool before serving

  11.      ENJOY!! !! !

  12. Tips to Ensure that your Bread Never Fails

    ·         Always ensure that your yeast is active

    ·         Make sure that you keep the dough in a warm place but definitely not close to a heat source or in a turned on oven as this will over activated making the bread overly airy

    ·         Do not over flour your bread as this will make it the bread to be dense and do not under flour your bread as his will make the bread to bread too light
